App Promo Videos (App Promo Styles)

View as Markdown

App Promo Skills make a short promo video for a software product, app, website, or SaaS tool. You paste your product website, and the Agent pulls your logo, colors, copy, and product screens from it. It then rebuilds the chosen style’s motion and pacing for your brand. ChatCut lists them under App Promo. There are 46 styles, and each one is its own Skill. They run in ChatCut Web and ChatCut Desktop. One of them, Liquid Glass, runs in ChatCut Desktop only.

How do I choose a style?

A style fixes the motion, the pacing, and the length of the video. Your product website supplies the content. The row above shows the most used styles; select View all to preview every style in the Skill library. The previews use sample brands, and none of the sample brand, copy, or numbers stay in your video.

These five were used most in the last 30 days:

  • Flat-card SaaS Explainer. The most used. Flat product-window cards in bright accent colors on a light background, about 20 seconds in landscape.
  • AI Assistant Feature Tour. The longest style, at about 60 seconds in landscape. Its preview opens on a dark background with short lines of text. Choose it when you have several AI features to show.
  • SaaS Kinetic Type Launch. Large type that builds across the frame, about 34 seconds in landscape.
  • Simple. Plain text on a clean background, about 14 seconds in landscape. A calm choice when your website carries the product story.
  • Coral Title-card App Launch. Bold title cards on a solid coral background, about 40 seconds in landscape.

The other 41 styles are shorter, mostly 8 to 15 seconds. Their names point to a look. Here they are, grouped by look:

  • Type-led. Break Typography, Word Roll, Slot Roll, Manifesto Pop, Rhythmic, Acid Graphic.
  • Flat cards and UI. Cards & Text, PC Flat, Flat Beat, Folder Pop, Sticker Bounce, Flip Board.
  • Carousels and wipes. Vibrant Carousel, Liquid Carousel, Paper Carousel, Smooth Wipes, Color Wipes, Shutter Bands, Masks, Push In, Frames, Corners Lines, Corners Pop.
  • Gradient, glass, and 3D. Aurora SaaS, Premium, Isometric Card Flight, Liquid Blob, Translucent, Relight, Liquid Glass.
  • Graphic and textured. Ink & Ribbon, Chalk Blueprint, One Bit, Atomic, Magnet, Quantum, Nova, Dynamic, Velocity, Adapts.

Check the format before you pick. Most styles are landscape 16:9. Fifteen are vertical 9:16, including Vibrant Carousel, Smooth Wipes, Nova, Acid Graphic, and Relight. Blocks is square 1:1, and Flat Beat is 4:3. Each style page shows its format in the preview.

What do I need before I start?

  • Your product website. This is the only required input. The Agent collects the logo, fonts, colors, copy, features, real numbers, and product screens from it.
  • A logo or product screens, if the site lacks them. The Agent asks only when the logo or the product UI is missing. You do not need to prepare copy, numbers, or brand guidelines.
  • Optional notes and images. Add key features, your audience, or copy you want used. You can also add up to 12 extra images.
  • Credits. The Agent builds the promo, so it uses credits. The amount varies with the request. The form notes that editing usage is billed separately and that any extra generation is quoted before it starts. See Credits.

This family is for software, apps, websites, and SaaS. For a physical product, use a product-ad Skill from All Skills instead.

How do I run it?

  1. Open a style from the gallery above, from chatcut.io/skills, from Home, or from Skills in the AI composer.
  2. Paste your product website. Add notes or extra images if you want.
  3. Select Start creating. The Skill hands the work to the Agent in ChatCut.
  4. Review the timeline. Ask the Agent for changes in the same project, or edit by hand.

Fill in the form

Every style on this page uses the same short form. This is the form for Flat-card SaaS Explainer. Try it here: it opens ChatCut with your choices filled in.

Try the form
FieldOptionsWhat it changes
Product websiteA web address, requiredThe source for your logo, colors, fonts, copy, and product screens
Additional notesOptional text, up to 2,000 charactersKey features, audience, copy, or anything else to keep in mind
Extra materials (optional)Up to 12 imagesProduct screens or brand images to use when the site lacks them

The form does not show length or aspect ratio. Each style carries its own. If you need a different length or format, say so in your notes or in the chat.

Many style pages also include a style picker, labeled Choose a style, so you can switch to another style without leaving the form. Liquid Glass has its own form: you upload a logo, enter a brand name, and choose a Logo background of Dark, Light, or Transparent.

Prompts you can copy

You can also attach a style from Skills in the AI composer and describe the video yourself. Replace the bracketed details first.

Prompt

Use Flat-card SaaS Explainer for [your product website]. Pull the logo, colors, and product screens from the site. Focus on [one feature] for [your audience]. Tell me which screens you used and which ones were missing.

Prompt

Make a vertical promo with Smooth Wipes for [your product website]. Use only claims and numbers that appear on the site. If the logo is hard to find, ask me for it before you build.

Prompt

Use SaaS Kinetic Type Launch for [your product website]. Lead with the problem we solve: [one sentence]. Keep the style's pacing, and give me a short list of the copy you wrote so I can check it.

What does ChatCut do for me?

  1. Reads your website. It collects the logo, fonts, copy, features, real numbers, and product screens. It decides the colors from what it finds on the site. You are not asked to choose colors.
  2. Asks only about gaps. It asks you for a logo or product screens only when the site lacks them.
  3. Fills the style with your brand. It swaps in your copy, logo, colors, and images and keeps the style’s timing and motion.
  4. Builds it as editable Motion Graphics. Text and media stay editable on the timeline.
  5. Checks the result. It checks the logo, the product screens, the copy, the aspect ratio, and the length against the style, then plays and exports it to confirm.

What do I get?

You get an editable promo on your timeline, plus an export of it. It is built from Motion Graphics, not a flat render, so you can change text and other exposed properties on the canvas, or ask the Agent to revise them. The style’s bundled soundtrack sits on its own audio track, so you can edit or replace it. If you supply your own audio, that takes the place of the bundled track. See Motion Graphics for editing.

What are the limits and tips?

  • Length and format come from the style. They range from about 5 seconds to 60 seconds. Pick the style whose format matches where you will post.
  • Your site is the content source. A thin site gives the Agent little to work with. Add notes and images for anything it lacks.
  • No sample content stays. The Agent replaces the sample brand, copy, numbers, and product UI, and does not invent product screens.
  • Quantum is a draft. Its name carries a Draft label in the gallery. Check its result closely.
  • Liquid Glass is different. It makes a four-second glass reveal of your logo with an editable wordmark and matching sound. It runs in ChatCut Desktop only.
  • Without a style, ask directly. The Agent can also plan a promo with you from a brief and build it with Motion Graphics or a Seedance video. See Skills / My Skills.
  • Review before you export. Check the logo, every number, and every claim on screen.
