Definitions

• "Company," "we," "our," or "us" refers to ChatCut, Inc.

• "Services" refers to our platform, including the website (chatcut.io) and all associated features, applications, and tools provided by ChatCut.

• "You" or "your" refers to individuals or organizations that own or use an account with ChatCut.


Account Terms

  1. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. ChatCut cannot and will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused by your failure to secure your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.

  2. Prohibited Use: You may not use the Services for any prohibited purposes as outlined in our Use Restrictions Policy.

  3. Account Activity: You are responsible for all content and activity under your account, including that of any authorized users.

  4. Human Users Only: Accounts registered by automated methods (“bots”) are strictly prohibited.


Payment, Refunds, and Plan Changes

  1. Free Plans: If you are using a free version of our Services, it is genuinely free—no credit card required, and your data is never sold.

  2. Paid Plans: For Services with a free trial, payment is required after the trial ends to maintain access. If payment is not made, your account will be frozen until resolved. Accounts inactive for a prolonged period may be queued for auto-cancellation.

  3. Plan Changes: If you upgrade or downgrade your plan, billing adjustments will apply starting the next cycle.

  4. Taxes: All fees exclude applicable taxes, which will be collected as required by law.

  5. Refund Policy: Refunds are processed in accordance with our Refund Policy.


Cancellation and Termination

  1. Cancellation: You are responsible for canceling your account. Instructions can be found in our Cancellation Policy. Upon cancellation, all content in your account will be deleted within 30 days from active systems and within 60 days from backups.

  2. Termination Rights: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Suspension blocks access to your account; termination results in permanent deletion of your account and data.

  3. Prohibited Behavior: Abuse or threats toward ChatCut employees or officers will result in immediate termination.


Modifications to the Service and Pricing

  1. Service Updates: We may modify or discontinue parts of the Services as needed, with or without notice.

  2. Pricing Changes: While we aim to maintain pricing for existing customers, we reserve the right to update prices with at least 30 days’ notice.


Uptime, Security, and Privacy

  1. Uptime: Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” While we strive for maximum uptime, occasional disruptions may occur.

  2. Security Measures: We use encryption, backups, and redundancies to protect your data. Please refer to our Security Overview for details.

  3. Privacy: Your use of ChatCut Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. On rare occasions, staff may access your data to assist with support requests, resolve errors, or comply with legal obligations.


Copyright and Content Ownership

  1. Content Ownership: Content you upload remains yours. ChatCut does not claim ownership but requires a limited license to process your data for the Services.

  2. Intellectual Property: The Company retains ownership of all intellectual property related to the Services. You may not duplicate or reuse any part of the Service without explicit permission.


Liability

ChatCut is not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Services, unauthorized access to your account, or actions of third parties using the Services.
