## Keep your next campaign moving

Bring your webinar, product clips or translated campaign into ChatCut and describe the finished edit.

### Turn webinar retakes into clear answers

For webinar clips that still ramble, ask ChatCut to remove repeated takes, tighten answers and add captions together.

### Carry your caption style across clips

Describe your campaign typography once, then ask ChatCut to apply matching animated captions to each social cut.

### Keep campaign graphics editable

When a rendered animation needs new wording, ChatCut lets you revise generated titles and callouts on the timeline.

## ChatCut vs Kapwing FAQ

Is ChatCut a Kapwing alternative?

Yes. Both offer AI editing, captions, dubbing and generation; ChatCut adds Mac and Windows desktop apps and editable XML handoff to Premiere or DaVinci. Kapwing suits teams that want a shared browser workspace with real-time collaboration.

Can Kapwing also edit through Claude Code or Codex?

Yes. Kapwing has an official MCP server and reusable skills for captions, subtitle translation and dubbing in both agents. ChatCut also connects to those agents, with a local MCP option for its desktop editor.

Is ChatCut free?

Yes. The Free plan includes the editor, uploads, transcription, captions and standard exports. AI generation and the built-in agent use credits, and AI video generation needs a paid plan.

Can I use ChatCut from Claude Code or Codex?

Yes. The ChatCut plugin runs in Claude Code and the Codex app, and ChatCut Desktop connects Claude Code, Codex and other agents through a local MCP server. Your agent edits the real timeline, which you can keep adjusting by hand.

[How the plugin works](https://chatcut.io/docs/chatcut-products)

Can I finish a ChatCut edit in another editor?

Yes. ChatCut exports XML timelines for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, and ChatCut Desktop also exports editable CapCut drafts. It does not export Final Cut Pro XML (FCPXML).
